eFootball Team Strength Guide: What Raises It and What Real Accounts Reach

Team strength is the number eFootball shows for your Dream Team, and it goes up as the players in your Game Plan get stronger. Real accounts sit roughly between 2,000 and 3,400: as of October 2026 the accounts listed on eFootball Market range from 2,000 to 3,308, with a median of 3,188. You raise it by signing better players, levelling and developing them, using Boosters, and picking a manager who suits your Team Playstyle.

What Team Strength Do Real Accounts Have?

These are the team strength figures of the accounts listed on eFootball Market on 7 October 2026. 76 of the 77 are mobile accounts. For live, daily-updated numbers see eFootball account prices.

In other words, a squad in the low 3,000s is a mature, well developed Dream Team. If a guide talks about 4,000 or 5,000 team strength, it is describing something that does not show up on real accounts. The same listings have a median asking price of $100, with the middle half between $55 and $210.

What Raises Team Strength

Konami does not publish how the figure is calculated, so we will not invent a formula. What Konami does document is everything that changes your players' ratings, and those are the levers you control.

Sign higher-rated players

Every signing goes through the Contract menu: the Special Player List, the Standard Player List (where you can choose any player), the Manager List, Standard Player Tickets and Packs. You pay with GP, eFootball Coins or eFootball Points. Replacing your weakest starters is the most direct way to lift the number.

Level players up and spend Progression Points

Players gain Experience Points by playing matches or from Level Training Programs. Each level gives Progression Points. With Auto Development, Konami says the points are allocated "in a way that will maximise his Overall Rating". Manual Development lets you choose, and you can reset the points at any time. Trending cards cannot be developed.

Use Boosters

Some players have a Booster, which enhances certain stats and lets them go beyond the ceiling of 99. Some also have a Booster Slot for an extra Booster. Konami notes that some Booster types, such as Live Link and Squad Link, have conditions before they activate.

Match your manager to your Team Playstyle

There are six Team Playstyles: Possession Game, Quick Counter, Long Ball Counter, Out Wide, Long Ball and, since v6.0.0, Overload. Konami's FAQ says players' Overall Ratings in Game Plan can fall if the manager has a low proficiency in the selected playstyle. Use a manager with high proficiency in the style you play.

Play players where they are rated

The game data stores a separate rating for every position, so the same player is weaker in a role he is not suited to (see the table below). Position Training Programs raise a player's Position Proficiency for up to two positions, chosen at random from an eligible list.

How Much Development Adds

Regular cards start well below their ceiling. This table compares the starting Overall with the Overall when fully developed, from the game data dated March 2026.

Player (regular card)Starting OverallFully developedMax level
Kylian Mbappe859922
Erling Haaland849925
Lamine Yamal839929
Rodri849723

A gap of 13 to 16 points per player, across a whole starting eleven, is why levelling is the cheapest way to raise team strength. You can browse the cards that end up highest at highest potential players. Our training guide covers Level Training, Progression Points and Skill Training step by step.

Position Matters to the Rating

The game data (March 2026) gives each card a separate rating for every position. A player moved out of his best role is a weaker player in that slot.

Virgil van Dijk

Best: CB 83

Elsewhere: DMF 58, CMF 50

Jude Bellingham

Best: AMF 84

Elsewhere: CMF 83, DMF 74, CB 58

Joshua Kimmich

Best: DMF 83

Elsewhere: RB 82, CMF 82, CB 75

Kylian Mbappe

Best: CF 85

Elsewhere: LWF 86, LMF 82, AMF 75

Since v6.0.0, Position Training can no longer teach a player the position already printed on his card, which makes it easier to add a genuinely new role. Filtering by position in the game now also shows players with a high Position Proficiency there, not only those registered in it.

Things Team Strength Guides Get Wrong

Team strength tiers of 4,000, 4,500 or 5,000+
Chemistry, club links or nationality links in Dream Team
Hidden bonuses for using players from the same club or country
A published formula with percentage weightings for ratings, chemistry or bench depth

The official system that comes closest to "chemistry" is a manager's Link-up Play. It has activation conditions tied to specific players in your lineup (a Centre Piece and a Key Man), and v6.0.0 added managers with two Link-up Plays. Treat it as a tactical feature, not a strength multiplier.

A Sensible Order of Work

This is general advice, not an official method:

  • Pick one Team Playstyle and sign a manager with high proficiency in it from the Manager List.
  • Fill obvious gaps in your starting eleven first. A weak starter costs more than a weak substitute.
  • Level your starters with matches and Level Training Programs, and leave Auto Development on if you only care about the Overall Rating.
  • Add Skill Training (up to 5 Additional Skills) and Position Training once the core is levelled.
  • Lock the players you rely on. Konami's FAQ is clear that released players and managers cannot be retrieved.

Remember that team strength is not a win rate. eFootball League groups you by Division, and how you use your squad on the pitch still matters most. Our guide on winning more games in eFootball covers that side.

Looking at Accounts by Team Strength?

You can filter listings on eFootball Market by team strength. Every listing is reviewed by an admin before it appears and shows the seller's rating and completed sales.

Your payment is held in escrow until you log in, secure the account and confirm the players and team strength match the listing, or open a dispute for an admin to review. Buying an account is against Konami's Terms of Use, and escrow protects your money, not the account's standing with Konami.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a good team strength in eFootball?

Established Dream Team accounts usually sit somewhere between about 2,000 and 3,400. As of October 2026 the accounts listed on eFootball Market range from 2,000 to 3,308 team strength, with a median of 3,188. Anything above 3,000 is a well developed squad, but the number alone does not decide matches.

Can you reach 5,000 team strength in eFootball?

No real account we have seen is anywhere near 5,000. The highest team strength among the accounts listed on eFootball Market in October 2026 is 3,308. Guides that promise 4,000 or 5,000 team strength describe numbers that do not appear in the game.

How is team strength calculated in eFootball?

Konami does not publish a formula. What is documented is what changes your players' ratings: signing better players, levelling them and spending Progression Points, Boosters, the manager's proficiency in your Team Playstyle, and the positions players can play. Raising those ratings is how team strength goes up.

Why are my players rated lower in Game Plan than in My Team?

Konami's FAQ explains that Overall Ratings change with the Team Playstyle selected in Game Plan. If your manager has a low proficiency in that Team Playstyle, your players' Overall Ratings can drop. Picking a manager with a high proficiency for your chosen Team Playstyle avoids this.

Does team chemistry affect team strength in eFootball?

eFootball has no chemistry, club link or nationality link system in Dream Team. The closest official feature is a manager's Link-up Play, which activates when specific players are in your lineup. Konami does not say that Link-up Plays change the team strength figure.

Does player condition change team strength?

Konami lists a player's Condition during a match as one of the factors that affect his abilities once he is registered in the Game Plan. Konami does not say whether the team strength number itself moves with Condition, so treat condition as a match-day factor, not a way to build strength.

How much does an eFootball account with 3,000+ team strength cost?

Across all accounts listed on eFootball Market as of October 2026, the median asking price is $100 and the middle half sit between $55 and $210. Most listed accounts are above 3,000 team strength, so that range is a fair guide. The efootball-account-prices page has the live, daily-updated numbers. Note that buying an account is against Konami's Terms of Use.
