Which Platforms Can Play Together?
eFootball has cross-platform play between consoles and PC: PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Xbox on PC and Steam players can meet in eFootball League, Ranking Events, Friend Matches and Co-op, and each player can switch it off. The mobile versions on iOS and Android are not part of it. Game data cannot be transferred between mobile and console either.
Which Platforms Is eFootball On?
Konami lists eight compatible platforms for eFootball, which is free to play with in-game purchases: PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Xbox on PC, Steam, iOS and Android. On PC there are two versions, Xbox on PC (Microsoft Store) and Steam. eFootball is not on the Epic Games Store or Nintendo Switch.

Based on Konami's v4.4.0 notes and FAQ. Console and PC matches across platforms need cross-platform play switched on.

Mobile is separate
Konami's cross-platform play is for console and PC users. Phone and tablet players are not matched with, and cannot invite, PlayStation, Xbox or Steam players. Konami's pages we checked do not spell out how mobile matchmaking is split, so we do not make claims about it beyond that.
Console and PC Cross-Play: How It Works
Konami added it in v4.4.0. Here is what it covers and what happens if you switch it off.
Online matches between PS5, PS4, Steam, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Xbox on PC
eFootball League and Ranking Events, with a ranking that combines console and PC results
Friend Matches and Co-op with friends on other platforms
An in-game Friend List for inviting friends on other platforms
You still cannot choose your opponent's device type in matchmaking

Where to change it: on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Steam, go to [Extras] > [Game Settings] > [Cross-Platform]. On Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, press the Xbox button and go to [Profile & system] > [Settings] > [Account] > [Privacy & online safety] > [Xbox privacy] > [View details & customise] > [Communication & multiplayer] > [You can join cross-network play]. On Xbox on PC, change the online safety and privacy settings at Xbox.com.
How to Play a Friend Match Across Platforms
The steps below use only settings and features named in Konami's notes and FAQ.
Turn cross-platform play on (console and PC)
If your friend is on a different console or PC platform, both of you need cross-platform play enabled. On PlayStation and Steam: [Extras] > [Game Settings] > [Cross-Platform]. On Xbox it is the system setting "You can join cross-network play".
Add each other to the in-game Friend List
v4.4.0 added a Friend List for playing matches with friends on other platforms. With cross-platform play off, you cannot open the in-game Friend List used for invitations.
Open Friend Match
Friend Match lets you play in your preferred Match Settings, from 1 vs 1 up to 3 vs 3 Co-op. Co-op Match Rooms may not be available in some countries or regions or network environments.
Invite your friend or share the Match Room
Send an invitation from the Friend List. A Match Room can also be found by its Match Room No., but a user with cross-platform play off cannot enter a room hosted by someone on another platform.
Block anyone you do not want in your room
For users on your own platform, use the platform's block function. For users on other platforms, select them in Match History, then [User Details] > [Action] > [Block].
Connection matters more than platform. Konami says 1 vs 1 Friend Match rooms use a peer-to-peer connection, so both players' connection quality affects the match, while Co-op Match Rooms use its game servers. It recommends a wired connection on console. If you just want to play side by side, certain offline modes allow up to 4 players on one PlayStation and up to 8 on Xbox or Steam.
Cross-Play Is Not Cross-Progress
Playing against someone on another platform does not mean your squad moves with you. Konami's FAQ says direct data transfer between platforms is generally not supported, and lists these exceptions.
Mobile and console
Not possible. Konami states that data cannot be transferred between the mobile and console versions. A mobile Dream Team and a console Dream Team are separate.
iOS and Android
Possible by linking a KONAMI ID ([Extras] > [Support] > [Link Data] on the old device, then [Data Transfer] on the title screen of the new one). Save data and GP move over, but eFootball Coins (paid and free) do not. They stay usable if you return to the original OS.
PS5 and PS4
Sign in to the same account to share data and continue playing.
Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Xbox on PC
Sign in to the same account to share data across all three.
Steam is not in Konami's list of shared-data pairs, so treat a Steam save as its own. For more on device moves, see our account linking guide.
Buying an Account? Check the Platform First
Because mobile and console data never cross over, an account only helps you on its own platform. As of October 2026, 76 of the 77 accounts listed on eFootball Market were mobile and 1 was console. Every listing shows its platform, and your payment is held in escrow until you log in, secure the account and confirm it matches the listing.
Buying or selling accounts is against Konami's Terms of Use. Escrow protects your payment, not the account's standing with Konami.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is eFootball cross-platform?
Yes, between consoles and PC. Since v4.4.0, users on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Xbox on PC and Steam can play each other in online matches, including eFootball League, Ranking Events, Friend Matches and Co-op. The mobile versions (iOS and Android) are not part of this cross-platform play.
Can mobile players play against PS5 or Xbox players in eFootball?
No. Konami's cross-platform play covers console and PC users only, so a phone or tablet player cannot be matched with, or invite, a PlayStation, Xbox or Steam player. To play together, both of you need to be on console or PC, or both on mobile.
How do I turn cross-platform play off in eFootball?
On PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Steam, go to [Extras] > [Game Settings] > [Cross-Platform]. Can I transfer my eFootball progress from mobile to PS5 or PC?
No. Konami's FAQ says it is not possible to transfer data between the mobile and console versions. Within mobile you can move between iOS and Android by linking a KONAMI ID, and on console you can share data between PS5 and PS4, or between Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Xbox on PC, by signing in to the same account.
Do my eFootball Coins transfer from iPhone to Android?
No. When you transfer data between iOS and Android with a KONAMI ID, your save data and GP move over, but eFootball Coins (paid and free) do not. Konami says those Coins are not lost: you can still use them if you go back to the original OS.
Can I choose to play only against PlayStation users?
You cannot pick your opponent's device type in matchmaking. If you turn cross-platform play off, you will not be matched with users from other platforms and cannot enter the same Match Room as them. Your Ranking and rewards do not change when you turn it off.
Can two people play eFootball on one console?
Yes, in certain offline modes. Konami's FAQ says up to 4 users can play at once on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, and up to 8 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Xbox on PC and Steam.
Can I use a controller on eFootball mobile?
Yes, in matches only. Bluetooth controllers work in VS AI matches and Friend Match (1 vs 1 and Co-op), but not in menus, and not in VS AI matches in the lower Divisions of the eFootball League PvP category. Using a controller does not make mobile part of console and PC cross-platform play.
